Admission FAQs

Q.Can I reschedule my GD/PI time and slot?
Ans
. Yes, if you have a genuine reason. E-mail your request to Dr. S. Rangnekar, HoD, DoMS IIT Roorkee at srangnekar1@gmail.com and cc to Prof. Z.Rahman at zrahman786@gmail.com
While writing the mail for request keep following things in mind: 1. Subject should be "MBA Admissions-Change in Slot of GD-PI:<Registration ID>, <Name>"
2. Clearly Mention three things in the request mail:
  • 1. Reason for change
  • 2. Current slot.
  • 3. Preferred slot.
Please note that the GD-PI will take place only on mentioned dates and there are only 2 slots per day(8.30 AM and 1.30 PM). So pick your referred slot from these ones only.

Q. Is accommodation provided by the institute to the candidates appearing for GD/PI?
Ans
. Accommodation will be strictly available on first come first serve basis.

Q.What would be the duration of GD/PI?
Ans. The session that starts at 8.30am would extend no later than 1.30 pm.
For the session that starts at 1.30 pm it would extend no longer than 6.00pm.

Q.What are the required testimonials and documents that need to be brought along?
Ans. Please refer the MBA brochure that is available on the website.

Q. What should I do if I don't receive my CAT result card before GD/PI?
Ans. Take a print of your results that are displayed on the CAT IIM website and bring it along with your other required documents.

Q.What should I do if I don't receive my call letter before GD/PI?
Ans. Take a printout of the sample call letter that is available on the website and also take a print of the page of the shortlist where your name is mentioned. Write your name and application no. on the downloaded call letter.

Q.Whom should i contact in case of accommodation queries ?Ans. See, firstly, the Institute is not obliged to provide accommodation to any of the candidates. But as your senior batch we are handling that absolutely on our own for your convenience. So, it shall be on first come first serve basis. You need not make any prior bookings. You have to just report at the Department when you reach and you'll be guided from there.
